Our Terms

Furniture painting

We will provide all the tools and materials needed to paint your furniture.

Repairs

We will make any small repairs to your furniture, such as gluing drawer fronts, dovetail joints or handles, before we paint.

Your furniture

We will need to remove hinges, handles, knobs and associated metalwork to fully paint your furniture. Many of these fixings have stood the test of time and are intransigent to their removal. We will make best efforts to remove everything before painting and complete the painting job. This might well involve fresh screws in old hinges, new brass nails in old escutcheons or new glaziers pins in old mirrors.

Collection and delivery

We will collect your furniture and return it as described in in our quotation to you.

Scope of work

We will look to you to describe in full the scope of the work you require on your furniture. This is most likely to include paint colour, finish and/ or a degree of "shabby" if needed, varnish finish etc. We will either agree to the scope or turn down the work.

Timings

We shall agree a time to collect your furniture and another time to return your furniture. These timings are subject to change by both parties.

Fees

We shall offer a fee to complete your work in our quotation. The fee will include all the costs associated with the work and itemised costs for collection and delivery where applicable. We do not take a deposit or advance fees.

Payment

We will submit a payable invoice for the work completed once we return your furniture or you opt to collect it from our workshop. Our invoice terms are included in the invoice and payment is appreciated within 24 hours.
