Choosing your furniture takes time and consideration. You’ll do it over the years to suit a budget, a lifestyle or a new home. And then, with the decisions made your furniture grows with time, acquires a well-worn look and tries to accommodate all your other lifestyle changes. But, it’s often these lifestyle changes that cause problems.

Because, of course, it’s a painful task to change furniture. Not least because it either cost so much or means something to you. And particularly when you just want to match your new wall-covering or carpets.

It’s a hand-crafted service. We use traditional painting methods using Purdy brushes, very fine hand rollers and spray guns for chairs. We favour paints from suppliers such as Johnstones’s, Farrow and Ball and also Annie Sloan. But we also paint with the Dulux and Homebase range of eggshell paints. And, of course, we find that water-based eggshell paints, with a 20% sheen, take the essential wax finish best.
