Painted Dressing Table Displays Voguish Style

This painted dressing table now displays an elegant style all of its own in its modern and stylish bedroom setting. But, would you believe that underneath its True White paint it's actually a rather common pine dressing table that has to be in a quarter or so of British bedrooms. Really? Yes, because in third place below bedside tables and chests of drawers, the classic dressing table, often paired with a mirror, is the most popular item of furniture that we're asked to paint.

This particular item was well-made from pine in a style that's known in British furniture showrooms. Featuring dove-tail joints and also dowel-connectors, it was reminiscent of furniture from a different era. Certainly no hint of universal metal connectors!

So, we were given a simple task. Paint the dressing table in True White and bring it up to scratch for a modern decorative style in the same home. Because this is typically the case with our furniture projects. A re-decoration prompts a re-evaluation of the household furniture. And, fortunately, a painted dressing table is certainly now much in vogue.

Painted Dressing Table is True in White

White, or shades of white, are probably the most favoured colours for bedroom furniture. Although we are asked to paint with some vibrant colours from time to time. Quite how sleep-inducing they are, we never ask.

We removed the crystal-style drawer knobs before painting with Dulux Heritage True White and then replaced them at the end of the project. When you want different handles or knobs, please let us know. Because we'll fit these new fixtures as standard.
